Custom Flags and Banners
Grand Flags has an excellent selection of quality stock items, but we are also known for our custom work. Our design and manufacturing capabilities allow us to meet all your custom flag and banner needs including sewn, screen printed and digitally printed flags and banners. Simply send us all the information you can, such as size, colours and quantity. If you have artwork, send us an email. If you don't have the artwork, we have designers that can create it for you. The possibilities are endless.
Artwork requirements vary depending on the process we use to produce your order however, as a general rule, we like to receive all artwork in either Adobe Illustrator (up to and including version CS2) or Photoshop (up to and including CS1). We can also accept Corel Draw vector files.
Save your files as EPS or TIFF and change RGB colors to CMYK. If your graphic contains spot colours, always try to assign a Pantone shade to the colours. Also, it is wise to include a hard copy or a JPG image with your final design so that we can check to make sure your artwork transmitted properly
When designing your artwork, pay special attention to the size proportions to ensure that it properly fits the dimensions of your product.
We suggest saving your artwork at 10% of actual size.
We use 3 different manufacturing processes when producing flags and banners:
1. Direct to fabric Digital Printing
2. Screen Printing
For spot colours we require vector art with all text converted to paths and Pantone values assigned. If there are any placed images, please include all linked and embedded files with your composite file. Use CMYK colour space.
Refrain from using special effects such as overprinting, transparencies etc. When blending colours, do not blend a PMS colour to a process colour. Screen Printing:
Since most screen printed orders are line art, we require a vector file with the same specifications as digital printing. We do offer full colour CMYK screen printing however before submitting artwork, please send us a JPG of the image so we can review the project to make possible cost saving recommendations.
We always prefer vector art for sewn-appliqued jobs however if none is available, please send us whatever digital artwork you have. Chances are we can work from your file (a small art charge may apply in some cases).
